Gena Swint

About Me

My name is Gena Swint, I am from Houston, Texas and I’m a multidisciplinary designer and artist with about twelve years experience in Visual Communications. I got my start interning for real estate companies and fashion designers in the Houston area, designing logos, brochures and websites. Soon after, I began to freelance and refine my experience working with a variety of clientele ranging from George Foreman to Frenchy’s Chicken. In 2014, I signed with Creative Circle and through this agency I was commissioned to create ads for Cirque Du Soleil, Expro and The Eye Gallery.

When I relocated to New York City, Creative Circle landed me an interview with A+E Networks, the television media conglomerate of History Channel, Lifetime, A&E, Biography and VICE TV. I’ve been working at A+E as a graphic designer since 2018. Most of my responsibilities consist of UX/UI design for their websites, templates for internal e-blasts, pitch decks and printed collateral for company ads, billboards and events such as the Sundance Film Festival, MIPCOM Cannes and Barrett-Jackson. I’ve designed decks for Google, Hulu and Netflix.

My strongest areas of design would be in Illustrator, creating vector art and logos. In Photoshop, I often edit high-res images for print and digital. I also edit key art and impliment color correction. I’ve recently been credited as an assistant compositor in the September 2023 issue of MERDE magazine.

I work often with photographers, models, fashion designers and musicians. I myself am a dj in my free time and have been hired for events in the music, beauty and fashion communities of Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago and Paris.
